Safari Itinerary
Guests are met upon arrival at O.R. Tambo International (Johannesburg) by their professional hunter or hunters. They will be holding a sign with your name on as you enter the arrivals lounge. From here we travel to the hunting camp which is located in the Lowveld Region of South Africa not far from the world famous Kruger National Park. The region is characterized by wooded savannah with rocky outcrops. The Drakensberg Mountains tower over the region and the view of this mountain range in the distance is quite spectacular. The Lowveld region is the primary Big Five area in South Africa and has in times past been a favorite hunting ground for some of the legendary professional hunters.
Day 2-7: Hunting Lowveld
Hunters: A typical hunting day would start just before dawn at which time coffee and rusks are enjoyed. A selection of breakfast cereals. yogurt and juice is also available at this time. We then embark on the morning hunt. We would normally hunt until about 10:30 to 11:00 at which time we would return to camp for brunch. ( A full meal which is a combination of breakfast and lunch). Some time is then devoted to relaxing in camp. The hunt is resumed at about 15:00 from which time we hunt until sunset.
The methods of hunting employed depends on the preference of the client and can consist of either waking and stalking, hunting from blinds or special vantage points from which we glass and ambush animals. The option of hunting from one of our well equipped vehicles is also available should you have any medical problems, or are limited by not being able to walk long distances. This option is also available if you wish to have a more easy going safari. Your Professional Hunter will discuss these options with you after arrival, and all are always available. It is not necessary to let us know which method you prefer prior to your arrival.
Observers: Observers are welcome to accompany the hunters on safari, alternatively they can relax in camp. Should the observers in your group be interested in visiting some of the highlights in the area while the hunters are on safari this can be arranged at an additional charge of $ 80 per observer per day. The additional cost is incurred because we have to send a dedicated guide to take care of observers. On the typical safari observers normally prefer to accompany hunters which does not incur any additional charges.

The last part of the journey requires some serious 4X4 driving as we cross coastal dunes on two lane tracks to reach our destination. The villa we will be calling home for the next few days is situated in lush coastal forest and offers breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean. The Villa offers all modern amenities and has a swimming pool for it can be very hot in Mozambique. The very low density of construction in the area offers a wonderful natural coastal experience. Wooden walkways lead from the villa to the beach.

The eight seater boat is launched ten minutes drive from the Villa. These tropical waters offer excellent fishing as we troll for Sail Fish , Barracuda, Yellow Fin Tuna and other Game Fish species. All fishing tackle and bait is provided, you simply have to relax and enjoy the experience. When not out on the ocean clients are welcome to fish from the beach where King Fish would be the most prized quarry. Then its on to Pretoria where the late afternoon is devoted to relaxing before being invited to a last African BBQ with your hosts.
